STEAM Dream Educational Services believes that every student, with the right input and appropriate supports, can achieve and sustain high levels of success in their science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) learning experiences. Offering more than just tutoring, STEAM Dream Educational Services clients are coached to improve in their planning/prioritization, organization, study skills, and concrete goal setting strategies that not only increase their academic outcomes in K-12 education, but equips them with skill sets that empower our learners to achieve consistent postsecondary success as well!  

Vision

Subject-Targeted Academic Coaching/Executive Function Coaching Goals: The STEAM 7 → STEAM RROCKSS!

  • R - Learners are being presented subject-targeted content in RELEVANT ways in order to be culturally-responsive. 

  • R - Learners are presented with RIGOROUS challenges at the appropriate level, creating productive struggle.

  • O - Learners are given scenarios to solve novel problems that require critical thinking, planning, multiple trials, and, ultimately, require an OPEN-ENDED, variable response, promoting the voice of the learner and providing a space for their creativity.

  • C - Learners are called to pose solutions that are COMMUNITY-ORIENTED and provide meaningful opportunities for improvement in the community that is directly connected to them.

  • K - Learners will be given opportunities to be KINETIC in their learning through the frequent use their hands along with their minds to support the varying ways that we learn.

  • S - Learners will be encouraged to find SCIENTIFICALLY-LITERATE solutions to everyday problems to help them contextualize what they are expected to learn in the classroom.

  • S - Learners will be taught effective, research-based methods to organize, prioritize, follow through, study, and set goals in order to promote STRATEGIC SUCCESS.
